Acupuncture; Exotic Traditional Chinese Medicine

China is a place where one of the oldest civilizations had been existed thousand years ago. The empire of china also has spread their knowledge around the world. Right now we can see the Chinese heritage such architecture, martial art, and also traditional method of healing.

One of the most famous traditional methods of Chinese medicine is acupuncture. Acupuncture is a form of method which fine needles are inserted into the skin at certain points on the body.


Acupuncture is based on the belief that an energy, or 'life force', flows through the body in channels called meridians. This life force is known as Qi (pronounced 'chee'). Acupuncture method base on believe that when Qi cannot flow freely through the body, this can cause illness. It is also believed that acupuncture can restore the flow of Qi, and so restore health. Acupuncture can also stimulate nerves and muscle tissue, and that this may be responsible for any beneficial effects.

Some research suggests that the traditional methods of acupuncture are more effective than placebos in the relief of certain types of pain and post-operative nausea. Acupuncture also became alternative treatment option for anxiety, sleep disturbances, and depression
The acupunture method has been has been approved by the United States National Institutes of Health, the National Health Service of the United Kingdom, the World Health Organization, and the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
